Cut the skirting to length, mitring the corners, and either pin or glue it to the wall. Don't forget to leave the 10mm expansion/contraction gap between the edge of the floor and the wall. Do NOT glue the skirting to your floor - your floor must be allowed to move freely underneath the beading. | |
It's best to glue the skirting to the wall so use an adhesive with good grab strength. Where the length of the skirting required exceeds the length of the skirting section (i.e. 2700mm), either butt the two lengths tight up to one another or cut one length at 45º and the other at 135º and then glue the two angles together to form a flush joint. |
