Terms & Conditions
All calculations of quantities and all quotations whether obtained through our website or given over the telephone or in writing by post or e-mail, are based on information supplied by the customer and as such are given in good faith. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the quantities required are adequate for the installation and we will not therefore be liable for any incorrect calculation or quotation nor shall we be liable should any consequential loss result in such instances.
Orders are only accepted in accordance with these terms and conditions of sale. No other terms and conditions nor any variation to these terms and conditions shall apply unless agreed by ourselves in writing prior to the order being accepted. Orders and amendments to orders are processed on receipt but we will not be held responsible for any wrong interpretation or delay in processing the order nor shall we be liable should any consequential loss result. In the event of an order being cancelled, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee to cover any costs incurred.
Order acknowledgements are sent by e-mail and should be carefully checked to ensure that the order has been correctly interpreted. Any discrepancies should be notified in writing to us immediately, otherwise the goods delivered or collected will be deemed to have been those ordered and in the event of the goods or any part of the goods having to be returned, we may at our discretion charge a handling fee to cover any costs incurred. We will not be held liable for any consequential loss in such circumstances.
Goods will be charged according to the price ruling at the date of the sales order acknowledgement. All prices shown include VAT unless stated otherwise.
Delivery is free throughout the UK mainland for orders in excess of £500. If the order value is less than £500, a delivery charge will be made, such charge depending on the quantity and the product supplied. Where the order is only for accessories and the value of the order for accessories is less than £500, a delivery charge of £30.00 will be made.
Delivery charges to other parts of the UK as well as European and international deliveries are subject to quotation.
Delivery is normally within 3 working days for most products and customers are notified in advance of the delivery date. In most cases we also arrange for the delivery driver to phone ahead and advise the estimated time of delivery. Any date or time given for the delivery of the goods is intended for guidance only and goods ordered must therefore be accepted whether delivered before, on or after the date or time given. We shall not be liable for damage or delay or consequential loss or breach of contract brought about by any delay or suspension of the order or by the late despatch or delivery of the order in any way whatsoever. Under no circumstances shall failure to despatch or deliver be deemed to be a breach of contract and no consequential loss shall result.
It is the customer's responsibility to inform us of any delivery conditions which may prevent delivery or unloading taking place and therefore as part of the checkout process, customers will be asked to confirm firstly that someone will be on hand to unload the goods; secondly that there is suitable access to the property for a 30' lorry; and thirdly that there is sufficient parking and unloading space at or reasonably near to the property to enable the goods to be offloaded. Where the customer fails to inform us of any such conditions and delivery has to be rescheduled for a later date, we reserve the right to make a charge for any re-delivery.
Goods are insured during delivery to the point of unloading. Unloading is the customer's responsibility. The goods must be examined on arrival and the delivery documentation signed by the customer as evidence that the goods have been delivered in good condition and in accordance with the order. If not, the goods will be deemed to have been delivered in good condition and in accordance with the order.
Claims for any shortage, damage or breakage will only be allowed where the details have been recorded on the delivery documentation and the delivery documentation signed as evidence of such shortage, damage or breakage by both our representative and the customer. We will at our discretion make good any shortage, damage or breakage of goods either by replacement or by refunding a corresponding proportion of the original price. Under no circumstances shall we be liable for any breach of contract or consequential loss in the event of such a claim.
Collection of goods
Certain goods may be collected from depots around the country. Please refer to the Click & Collect section for more details of these depots. Goods should be ordered in the usual way when using Click & Collect and a collection depot must be specified. Customers will be given a reference number along with details of the collection depot, and will be notified when the goods are available for collection. Any date or time given for the collection of goods is intended for guidance only and we shall not be liable for any damage or delay or consequential loss or breach of contract brought about by any delay or suspension of the order or by the late collection of the order in any way whatsoever. Under no circumstances shall failure to collect for any reason whatsoever be deemed to be a breach of contract and no consequential loss shall result.
Goods are insured to the point at which the goods are loaded into the customer's vehicle. Loading is the customer's responsibility. The goods should be carefully examined prior to loading for any shortage, damage or breakage and then the collection documentation signed as evidence that the goods have been collected in good condition and in accordance with the order. It is the customer's responsibility to check the goods carefully for any shortage, damage or breakage and should the goods have to be returned for any reason whatsoever, we reserve the right to make a handling charge. In such circumstances we shall not be liable for any breach of contract or consequential loss.
In the unlikely event that goods are found to be faulty or not as ordered after delivery has taken place, customers should phone 01782 791401 with the details or complete a returns form. Providing the terms of the warranty for the goods have been complied with, we will at our discretion make good any shortage of goods or defects in the goods either by replacement or by refunding a corresponding proportion of the original price. We reserve the right for our own representative and/or the manufacturer's representative to carry out a site inspection of any such goods before any such replacement or refund takes place. Under no circumstances shall we be liable for any breach of contract or consequential loss in the event that goods are found to be faulty or not as ordered.
Goods that are surplus to requirements may be returned providing they are unopened and undamaged. Customers should phone 01782 791401 with the details or complete a returns form. Any such goods will be subject to a handling charge and a carriage charge. Any refund in respect of such goods will only be made once the goods have been returned in a satisfactory saleable condition.
All goods are guaranteed from the date of delivery for the period and under the conditions warranted by the manufacturer. If any goods are found to be defective during the guarantee period and providing such defects have not occurred through incorrect installation, incorrect usage or incorrect maintenance procedures, or through the liability of other products or persons, we will at our discretion either rectify or replace the defective part of the goods or refund a corresponding proportion of the original purchase price in accordance with the manufacturer's original warranty. All goods should be carefully checked for any visible defects both before and during installation. Any goods which are installed in spite of such defects are not covered by the guarantee. Under no circumstances shall we be liable for any breach of contract or any consequential loss whatsoever in the event of a claim arising under a guarantee. Further details of warranties specific to individual floors can be found under the Warranty section on each floor page and form part of these terms and conditions of sale.
Payment should be made at the time the order is placed either by cheque or by bank transfer or by internet banking or by credit/debit card or through PayPal.
