| Cut the stair nosing profile to the width of the tread of your staircase |
| If you're using your new floor as the riser on your staircase, cut it to size and glue it in place. Cut the tread of your new floor to size taking into account the dimensions of the stair nosing and glue it in place. You may need to pack out the underside of the stair nosing depending on the thickness of your new floor. Select the correct thickness of the packer and either screw or glue the packer in place |

| Once your stair nosing is in place and firmly fixed, finish off where your new tread meets the riser at the back of the step with a length of matching scotia beading |
